We manage four neighborhood-based programs, called Community Umbrella Agencies (CUAs), that provide a continuum of care for children and families in Lower Northeast Philadelphia, Upper North Philadelphia, Southwest Philadelphia and West Philadelphia.
This continuum includes services preventing child abuse and neglect among families at risk and foster care services aimed at reunifying families and assuring permanency for children.
Community Umbrella Agencies are part of a citywide initiative known as Improving Outcomes for Children, led by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. Turning Points for Children is responsible for the safety, well-being, and permanency of almost 4,000 children and their families across the four CUA neighborhoods served.
Community Engagement is a major component of the work that we do. Through community programs, community engagement teams and case management, we look to improve outcomes for children, keep families together and ensure the safety for all.
