Showing up is half the battle, but it’s the giving everything you have that makes a champion!
The volunteers from Team TD showed up as champions to paddle in the 2025 Independence Dragon Boat Regatta. Having won the Ascend cup for the last two years, they could have just showed up just for bragging rights. They could have just showed up for the medals. They could have showed up just for the photo op.
But they did so much more.
They showed up as partners. Partners with passion, and they paddled with purpose to build stronger families and give children the hope for a brighter future.
They shared our mission with their personal networks to raise $26,000, and while they didn’t win the Ascend Cup this year, they did achieve the greater reward of changing people’s lives.
