Hunger isn’t just about an empty stomach. It’s about access. It’s about impossible choices between groceries, rent, utilities, or medicine. FAWN works to ease those choices — and to do so with dignity.

FAWN pantries are choice-based, meaning shoppers get to select the items that fit their family's needs, cultures, and preferences — just like any grocery store. But they also offer something less tangible and just as vital: respect and dignity.

This is one of the qualities that sets FAWN apart. Not only are FAWN’s hours weekly, consistent, and able to stay open longer than some other pantries, but each location is also the only choice-based pantry within a mile radius.

Parents are able to do no-charge “shopping” to select items that work for their family.  They are greeted by name. They walk through and choose what they want. They are both seen and served.

Food insecurity is only part of the picture. FAWN stands for Food and Wellness Network. It’s more than a pantry, it’s a network. Beyond food, FAWN pantries offer connection to services, childcare essentials, and a compassionate community for members navigating instability, transition, or crisis. In August, the FAWN Rising Sun location began offering case management for those who want help setting and working towards goals.

Your donations help keep our pantries stocked with nourishing food, served with trust, respect, and dignity. Your support helps build a space where people walk out with more than full bags — they walk out with their heads held high.
