Education Leading to Employment and Career Training (ELECT) is a statewide program that Turning Points is a proud provider of. Through ELECT, teens receive academic support to help them graduate, parenting education to build strong and healthy families, and holistic resources to ensure they care for themselves as well as their children.
Teenhood is already a challenging time, where young people are figuring out who they are and what they want for their futures. Parenting is a full-time responsibility. Doing both — often while facing social, financial, and family hurdles — is more than any person should have to navigate alone.
This is where ELECT steps in, to be part of young parents’ “village,” giving them the tools, encouragement, and opportunities they need to build brighter futures for themselves and their children.
So as the beginning of the school year draws near, we’re helping our parenting teens walk into the classroom with the confidence, skills, and support they need to succeed – for themselves and their children.
