We believe that each and every youth deserves the opportunity and the support they need to achieve their goals.
Our Bridge Intensive Support Services (BIPS) provides services to youth ages 10-19 who are at risk of entering the juvenile justice system due to delinquent behaviors. BIPS sees high-risk behaviors in youth as just one piece of a complex problem; one that requires holistic intervention that encompasses emotional, behavioral, familial, social, academic, vocational, and desired needs.
Our staff work to develop self-worth, life-skills, independence and resilience in teens, many of whom struggle with trauma.
BIPS helps to improve school attendance, motivation for change, family relationships, and mental health for youth so that they can have a better future.
You are helping at-risk youth stay in school!
Education is essential to our youth, but how can at-risk youth facing adversities succeed in school without any support?
Justin, a 17 year old high school student, came to BIPS with straight F’s and a record of truancy. He was dealing with many hardships at home and couldn’t envision a future for himself.
Through trauma-informed counseling sessions and academic support services, BIPS helped Justin to gain stability, confidence, and passing grades in all his classes. Caseworkers guided Justin through challenges at home and inspired him to continue learning. Justin is now planning on going to trade school and will join Powercorps once he receives his GED.
When you support Turning Points, YOU are helping teens like Justin stay in school. Your support helps us to give essential mental health and academic services to those who need it the most, helping youth to gain educational success.
