EITC and Turning Points for Children

on 29 September 2015

You can Give to Turning Points Through the State of PA's Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)

It’s easy and effective. Your business redirects tax dollars to Turning Points for Children instead of paying the State. Under EITC program regulations, a business may receive tax credits equal to 75% of its contribution up to a maximum of $750,000. This amount may be increased to 90% of the contribution if a business agrees to provide the same amount for two consecutive tax years.

Turning Points for Children’s is a qualified Educational Improvement Organization and is able to receive support through the EITC program of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Businesses that enroll in the EITC program may use their eligible state tax dollars to support our FAST program.

This is how it is done:

1.    Tax credit dollars are allocated on a "first-come-first-served" basis to companies that meet the criteria, so it is important to get your application in by the appropriate deadline:

May 15th  -- for business applicants who are in the middle of their 2-year commitment or have fulfilled their 2-year commitment and wish to reapply.

July 1st -- for new businesses to apply.

2.    EITC applications must be submitted electronically. For guidelines please go to http://www.newpa.com/find-and-apply-for-funding/funding-and-program-finder/educational-improvement-tax-credit-program-eitc or contact Monika Kreidie at This email address is being protected from spambots. 3.    Let Turning Points for Children know once your company has been approved.

4.    Give the dollars you saved in PA State business taxes to Turning Points’ FAST program.
